Old English Abroad


A hybrid/online lecture series on the reception and study of
early medieval English language and literature outside the Anglophone world.

The Old English Abroad lecture series is co-organized by the EMERGENCE project (ERC Horizon Europe; Leiden University) and OE-CONNECT (Una Europa; Jagiellonian University Kraków – Leiden University – University of Zurich).

Subsequent to the lecture, we will organize a student workshop for the EMERGENCE project, aimed at transcribing the letters of Old English lexicographer Joseph Bosworth to the Frisian scholar Joast Hiddes Halbertsma.
